Supply and Trading
As part of Chevron Midstream, Supply and Trading (S&T) is the commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals (DS&C). S&T applies its knowledge of commodity markets, the crude-to-customer value chain and transportation logistics in the crude, gas and refined products markets to maximize the value of enterprise assets and enable the commercial success of Upstream and DS&C. S&T buys, sells and supplies crude oil, refined products, natural gas and gas liquids to support Chevron's crude and gas production operations and its refining and marketing network. S&T integrates enterprise-wide supply and trading capabilities to capture commercial opportunities across the entire value chain through commercial functional excellence.
Chevron S&T – Texas A&M Trading, Risk and Investment Program (TRIP): Internship Positions
Chevron S&T joined TRIP as a board member in 2019. This university program prepares students in the fields of energy trading, investments and risk management by combining class instructions with hand-on, internship-based experience across a diverse segment of the energy industry. In joining this program’s Board, S&T gains access to a pipeline of commercially savvied and trained individuals who will rapidly contribute to the strengthening of our commercial bench strength.
As a participant of the S&T TRIP Internship Program, you will join a fast-paced environment that will allow you to gain extensive hands-on experience in commodity commercial activities, build long-lasting business relationships while adding value to our S&T organizations. The internship will include one or two assignments over 12-16 weeks in organizations across S&T at our Houston, Texas offices. Interns will work on the trading floors next to experienced Traders, Operators/Schedulers, Analysts, Charterers, participate in training opportunities, company events, and network with a diverse work force, including senior S&T leaders and other business leaders. The TRIP internship provides an important entry point to participants of what the full-time hiring program may offer. The work experiences may include (but are not limited to):

Business and/or Commercial Analyst for Refined Products, Crude, Renewables and Carbon, Nat Gas and NGLs

S&T Operations (Marine, Pipeline, Rail scheduling)

Shipping Operations/Demurrage analysis

Risk Management/Credit analysis

Downstream Value Chain Optimization analysis

Value Chain Strategy and Commercial decision analysis
Qualifications:
Applicants must be an accepted full-time enrolled participant of the Texas A&M Trading, Risk and Investment program. - The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law.
- The anticipated monthly (hourly) range for this position is $20.77 ($5.700). The selected candidate’s monthly or hourly compensation will be determined based on their respective discipline, degree level and academic year for U.S. payroll offers.
