Xogos Gaming

Gamification of education is not a new concept, but it has never been tapped like it has with Xogos Gaming LLC. Xogos is in its infancy stage, but we are in the process of finishing three games that engage youth in learning. Our most anticipated game is the digital form of Historical Conquest, a card game like Pokémon, plays like Risk, but where all cards are history-based, which we have sold over 45,000 copies. Now it’s being digitalized so schools can enjoy it without the cost of a paper product.
Students retain 10-20% of what they learn from lectures and reading, and 30% from audio and visual. Research shows that students retain 70-80% of information they receive from games. In addition to retention and engagement, teachers can test students using more reliable systems and analytics, through gameplay. One of our three games allows testing without the stress of taking a test. Simultaneously, all our games report back to teachers how much students are learning and improving.
We have decided to prove our concept using History, but plan expand to other subjects with the help of our strategic partnerships. Through games, we can help students increase engagement in the learning process.
