Mission:

The Europe Cash Manager leads and develops a team of 14 professionals within the Michelin Corporate Business Services in Bucharest. Their mission is to ensure the organization and execution of all payment and collection processes, manage accounts and banking services, and optimize liquidity and associated costs (bank fees and interest charges) while ensuring strict compliance with internal control standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Academic background and 5+ years of experience in finance (treasury, accounting, controlling, taxation, etc.) are required;
  • Extensive interactions in a European scope require fluency in English and strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Previous experience on liquidity structure optimization initiatives, identifying optimizations and banking negotiations, pan-European banking call for tenders, security of cash management processes;
  • Previous managerial experience (3+years);
  • Rigor, integrity, and transparency;
  • Strong internal control mindset;
  • Very good communication skills;
  • Business understanding, flow modeling, analytical, strong synthesis skills required;
  • Economic studies;
  • A “Lean & Agile” culture and/or project management experience would be a plus.

The Zone Cash Manager’ s responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of flows and ensure the liquidity of companies;
  • Manage and Develop the Team (14 People);
  • Manage Banking Relationships;
  • Ensure Compliance of Operations;
  • Drive Performance and Continuous Improvement;
  • Forecast, optimize and guarantee the liquidity of the companies in the scope  ;
  • Forecast all payment flows (suppliers, payroll, taxes, financial flows) and collections over the short and medium term, in collaboration with internal stakeholders (AP, AR and GL accounting, payroll services, credit managers, tax teams, financial directors, etc.);
  • Guarantee the proper execution and security of payments and collections, consistent with Group standards;
  • Serve as the main contact for banking partners in the region for all treasury activities;
  • Define optimal banking structures and negotiate local banking services at the best possible price;
  • Organize and ensure the regular updating of banking authorizations for the entire team, in strict compliance with Group standards;
  • Administer (in dual control when necessary) e-banking systems;
  • Guarantee the compliance of all operations with regulatory requirements and internal control standards, ensuring auditability for both internal and external audits (e.g., external auditors, tax authorities);
  • Create a working environment that fosters accountability, collaboration, and autonomy within the team;
  • Ensure the team has adequate resources;
  • Support the professional development of team members (feedback, training, people review, etc.);
  • Develop and implement, in collaboration with the zone treasurer and team, a progress plan for European Treasury: define priorities, communicate goals, allocate responsibilities and workload, support the team in achieving results, and track progress;
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of operational tools (e.g., short- and medium-term forecasts);
  • Analyze performance with the team and co-create action plans as needed;
  • Participate in Group projects related to treasury activities and tools (e.g., Oracle deployment);
  • Support the implementation of payment and collection solutions required for business needs (e.g., card payment systems, direct debit solutions, corporate card programs);
