Entertainment is responsible for the production activities of the organization's content, aiming to minimize costs and maintain quality standards. Activities include planning, managing and reviewing audio, visual, and digital production operations; developing and implementing production schedules to ensure the effective use of set/crew labor, tools and equipment. This job family often includes producers and possible contractors that assist with production support.
Programming plans, schedule, acquire and develop programs to maximize audience size and revenue, typically for a particular daypart (e.g., prime time, daytime) or genre. They ensure a cohesive programming strategy is in place and followed throughout Condé Nast; create program concepts for development and production; analyze cost vs. potential revenue of a program or production; recommend and participate in negotiations for program acquisitions; ensure timely delivery of products within editorial brief and budget; may provide analysis and recommend/negotiate or help negotiate program deals.
