The Opportunity
QVC is looking for a Workflow Supervisor, who is responsible for managing the daily workflow of content requests through the workflow system, processing, assigning and scheduling requests. This position ensures the most efficient way to tackle content requests, adhering to timelines, schedules and workflow in a high-volume, fast-changing environment. Workflow Supervisors will partner with their manager and team to create new ways of assigning content, with an eye toward combining requests and creating more content in less time. The role requires strong communication, organizational and a comfort with change and innovation. The Workflow Supervisor partners with teams across Omnichannel Content, as well as our partner teams (Social, Digital, Broadcast and Brand Marketing) to receive, define, schedule and process work requests.
The Workflow Supervisor assesses workflow needs on a daily basis to schedule resources and process requests. The Workflow Supervisor supports the execution teams, updating and publishing production schedules. The Workflow Supervisor monitors progress, provides regular overviews of the team workload and advises department management on resource availability. The Workflow Supervisor is responsible for maintaining efficient workflow processes and regularly suggests ways to improve workflow processes and internal systems.
Your Impact
- Understand and execute the defined objectives of the Omnichannel Content team and work toward furthering company blue chip goals.
- Evaluate and processes work requests, looking for efficiencies and promoting smooth workflow and communication between requestors and the execution teams.
- Maintain product detail workflow through project management tools.
- Identify project requirements, estimate cost and/or time requirements for successful project completion.
- Serve as a liaison between the requester and the content team to ensure team members have all information needed to execute requests. Ensure incoming work requests contain all necessary information needed to process requests.
- Manage product pull list, ensuring team has the right product shot and loaded to platform(s) on-time with minimal to no missing images.
- Manage content request workflow in accordance with deadlines; determines feasibility with regard to capacity, information, timelines, legal, budget and calls out any that are at risk.
- Keep all project stakeholders informed of work status and due dates, including changes to priorities, conflicts, delays or any other unusual situations, adjusting to the demands of the business on a daily basis.
- Oversee and maintain production schedule updates
- Consistently monitor schedules and projects to ensure jobs are on track.
- Elevate issues when jobs are at risk and plan contingencies.
- Lead resource maximization through resource scheduling. Identify opportunities to leverage resources. Partner with Traffic Manager and communicate opportunities to video and photography production teams.
- Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies and partners with department managers to maximize budget spending and resources.
- Identify and elevate process and workflow solutions
- Maintain standardized processes and make recommendations to improve workflow systems, best practices and guidelines. Maintain workflow through various QVC Group systems.
- Develop training guides and communicates ongoing improvements to workflow processes. Trains requestors on workflow processes and supports cross functional teams with workflow support.
- Update technical production knowledge and continue to build business knowledge, attend in-house training, complete on-line training, read trade magazines, business material and attend off-site courses. Utilize acquired skills/training.
- Gain knowledge of each team and function within Omnichannel content and apply learnings to seek efficiencies in content assignments. Research and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
What You Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, e-commerce, TV or Digital Media related field

3+ Years business experience in TV production/Video production/Digital media production planning required
-
Experience in Internet, retail, and/ or merchandising environment preferred.

3+ Years Media Asset Management Experience Required

Workflow and team management experience required

Demonstrated working knowledge of photography, video and graphics production workflow required
