YouGov is seeking a dynamic Workday Support Lead to join our HR team at an exciting time, right as we prepare to launch our new Workday HR system with a Go Live date set for mid-2025. As a key player, you’ll dive into essential hands-on tasks, from testing and configuration reviews to leading training sessions, conducting data analysis, crafting reports, and building solid relationships with stakeholders. Your proactive mindset, clear communication, and adaptability will be instrumental to the success of our go-live and beyond.

This role is based in Europe and is open to multiple locations. To be considered, you must be fluent in English.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
In this role, you will oversee helpdesk operations, providing timely, effective support for employees navigating the Workday platform. You will also be responsible for enhancing Workday capabilities by strategically planning and delivering system improvements to meet evolving needs, collaborating across teams to bring innovative solutions to life.
- Team Management: Leading and managing a team of workday support specialists
- Problem Resolution: Overseeing the resolution of employee inquiries and issues related to Workday
- Knowledge Base Maintenance: Ensuring the accuracy and up-to-date status of the Workday knowledge base
- Metrics Analysis: Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure helpdesk effectiveness
- Escalation Management: Managing escalated issues and coordinating with relevant departments
- Training and Development: Providing training and development opportunities for helpdesk agents
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with third-party vendors providing Workday support
- System Implementation: Supporting the implementation of Workday, ensuring successful adoption and integration with existing systems
- System Management: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the Workday system, ensuring optimal performance and functionality
- System Configuration: Lead on tailoring Workday to align with YouGov’s HR policies, processes, and reporting needs
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements leveraging Workday's capabilities to streamline HR operations
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity and quality within the Workday system, maintaining accurate and reliable employee information
- Security and Compliance: Oversee, maintain strong security controls and adherence to compliance regulations
- Reporting: Develop and maintain customized reports and dashboards to support HR analytics and decision-making
- Integration: Manage integrations between Workday and other HR systems, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization
- Project Management: Lead and contribute to Workday-related projects, such as system upgrades, expansions, and new implementations
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- Workday Expertise: 3+ years’ as a Workday Specialist with a deep understanding of Workday HCM modules and functionalities (Absence, Time Tracking, Recruitment, Talent Management, Learning, Security, Advanced Comp, Reporting and Benefits) and Business processes
- Global Experience: 2+ years supporting regions across Europe, the Americas, and India
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced technical knowledge of workday configurations and business processes
Behavioural competencies:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and high level of attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills, including empathy and patience
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, with a solid understanding of HR functions
It would be great if you had these to, but we’ll support you if you don’t:
- 1-2 years proven experience in establishing a small team from the ground up
- Workday certification
- Proficient in advanced Excel skills
