The Corporate Technology team manages the IT requirements of the corporate functions within Squarepoint. We work with Finance, HR, Compliance, Legal, Recruitment & Talent, and other corporate teams to review current and proposed processes and provide design solutions, as well as test, implement and provide post-production support for any implemented changes. We also get involved in onboarding 3rd party applications and work with technical core teams to build custom inhouse solutions.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our technology team to support our two current finance systems, Workday and Concur, as well as being involved in any future changes within the finance system architecture. This role will support the Finance team regarding the functional areas of Workday, which includes basic functional configuration across various modules, maintaining existing functionality to accommodate the business growth, continuously assessing new WD functionality and its application to Squarepoint use case(s). You must also understand accounting concepts and be able to translate the requirement(s) from the business and design solutions independently. Your role will involve performing BAU tasks as well as owning Workday Finance projects of a complex nature. You approach to solution design is holistic in nature and considers both upstream and downstream impacts on processes within Workday, as well as the rest of the Squarepoint infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is expected to be a self-directed learner, excited about providing enduring solutions to a varied range of problems. You will approach the role with the mindset of providing E2E solutions rather than acting as a support desk individual for the Finance Team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with onsite leads to identify, recommend, and implement innovative reporting processes and procedures to improve efficiency considering system capabilities, system capacity & limitation, operating time, and desired results.
- Hands on experience with Workday functional and system configurations.
- Good knowledge of AP, Fixed Assets, Financial Accounting, Banking, Tax and Expense modules.
- Develop and maintain Workday reports (Advanced/Matrix/Composite) and dashboards.
- Basic understanding of Workday HR and its touchpoints with Workday Finance.
- You must have a well-rounded understanding of the FDM and its implications, Workday Security and Workday Reporting.
- Understanding of Workday Accounting Center, Extend and/or Prism.
- Hands on experience on Workday allocations, intercompany and eliminations.
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Determine ways to optimize/improve process workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot/shouldn't meet user requests.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders/leads to improve delivery and communication.
- Document and automate repeatable tasks.
- Proactively look for new Workday features and opportunities that benefit the business and end-user and actively engaging with the Workday community.
- Effectively communicate global impacts of changes to affected populations and actively participate in impact assessments.
- Maintain up to date documentation in tracking tools.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials.
- Ability to translate business requirements into system requirements.
- Understanding of Finance processes and experience in data management and reporting.
- Able to demonstrate previous experience working with technical teams to optimize their use of tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
- Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.

Nice to Have
- Previous experience with Concur SAP, Salesforce and Workday Adaptive.
- Previous experience creating documentation for both projects and system/business processes.
- Familiar with Jira and Confluence and able to manage Jira project administration tasks.
