Workday Analyst
As Senior Workday Analyst, you are responsible for managing and configuring Workday Payroll and Benefits modules to ensure seamless operations, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business needs across the US and Canada. You oversee end-to-end payroll processing, benefits administration, reporting, and year-end filings, while driving automation, system enhancements, and global collaboration. You act as a key partner to HR and Payroll teams, supporting stakeholders through data management, issue resolution, and user engagement across Workday modules.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Manage and configure Workday Payroll and Benefits modules, ensuring system functionality meets business needs and local compliance requirements.
- Oversee and support the end-to-end payroll process for US & Canada within the Workday platform.
- Process payroll adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and retroactive pay in Workday.
- Administer and support US benefits programs within Workday, including Health, Dental, Vision, Retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Manage and configure Open Enrollment, Benefits Elections, and resolving Benefits inquiries.
- Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 processing and other regulatory filings.
- Serve as the first point of contact for Payroll/Benefit partners for Payroll and Benefits-related questions.
- Support automation efforts and process improvements within Payroll and Benefits modules.
- Design, create, and maintain Workday Payroll and Benefits reports and dashboards.
- Support other Workday modules (e.g. Absence and Time tracking).
- Work with Workday counterpart in EMEA and HR team globally to prioritize and execute Workday fixes.
- Collaborate with HR team globally to analyze, develop, implement, and support HR projects and changes.
- Assist with Workday system updates and upgrades, including bi-annual Workday releases.
- Handle complex data manipulation using tools like spreadsheets and EIBs.
- Support training and engagement to ensure stakeholders are fully utilizing Workday.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
- At least 4 – 6 years of Workday experience, with focus on Payroll and Benefits for US & Canada; experience with Absence and Time Tracking is a plus.
- Very good understanding of Open Enrollment, Benefits Elections, and year-end reporting (e.g. W-2s).
- Proficient in EIBs, data loads, spreadsheets, and report creation.
- Good knowledge of core HR business processes.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written; additional languages (e.g. Spanish or German) are a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to foster positive relationships at all levels.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Solution-oriented and committed to continuously improving efficiency, effectiveness, and end-user experience.
- Skilled in troubleshooting functional and data issues, demonstrating resilience in a highly dynamic environment.
- Passion for cycling or outdoor sports is a plus.

PAY
Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:
California Base Pay Range: ($85,971 - $141,852)
*At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
