The Work Week Specialist (Scheduler) supports management of the site schedule from conception /scope identification to field execution.  The scheduler will be directly responsible for attending daily meetings and working with project organizations to incorporate and maintain a site schedule (8-week rolling schedule).  The responsibilities include updating status, adding, or modifying activities, resource balancing, establishing logic ties and generating reports / schedules in Primavera P6 for use by the Facility Management, Operations, and Maintenance Teams.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Coordinate with all project organizations to ensure timely and acceptable activity status and updates.

  • Facilitate resolution when problems emerge, or work performance does not meet schedule expectations.

  • Support schedule quality analysis and resolution of identified issues.

  • Ensures that management, planners and other support organizations have the latest schedule information, and priorities at an eight week look ahead in order to maximize production

  • Support modifications to the schedule as necessary to achieve maximum use of resources including balancing priorities and manpower.

  • General understanding of system design and operation, including environmental, safety, and health aspects and regulatory conformance sufficiently to coordinate scheduling and related functions.

  • Support implementation of project wide initiatives affecting plant operations personnel and resources.

  • Perform activities and meet the goals and objectives established by the plant management organization.

  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical, administration, or management field and 6 years of experience in project management, scheduling, planning, or related field.  Experience with scheduling software and principles is required.  Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.

OR

Associate’s degree in a technical, administration, or management field and 8 years of experience in project management, scheduling, planning, or related field.  Experience with scheduling software and principles is required.  Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in project management, scheduling, planning, or related field.  Experience with scheduling software and principles is required.  Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Administrative, organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Thorough understanding of equipment operations, maintenance requirements, and restrictions imposed by safety and environmental regulations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $115,543.99 - $182,530.01 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
