Position Overview:
As part of the talented Mercury Marine Plant 103 team, you will focus on continuous improvement of the WMS software and coordination of the users in regard to training, updates and projects related to WMS. Collaborates with Distribution Operations, IT and other various business functions to ensure software updates meet the needs of internal users to satisfy shipping of customer orders. This position also assists with daily Operations in the various departments within Distribution.

Essential Functions:
- Monitor and assess Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) functionality to determine efficiency of configurations, user interface and updates.
- Interface with Distribution Operations, P&A Planning, Sales, IT, and other departments as needed to best assess needs, schedule, training, and updates to fit within the workflow of Plant 103.
- Translate business needs into training, configuration and/or software updates/projects to improve use of software to fulfill customer orders.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing and represent key stakeholders for IT/system related projects.
- Identify improvement opportunities in WMS configurations for receiving, replenishment, picking, put-away, packing, work orders, item management and shipping.
- Assist Distribution Operations team in monitoring workflow, system integrations and order through-put for daily, weekly, and monthly metrics.
- Assist Operations daily workflow as needed.
- Key interface between Operations, IT, and consultants.
- Ensures training, updates and system communication are planned as needed for all shifts.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering Technology, or Operations.
- 3+ years in distribution, materials management and/or supply chain experience.
- Manhattan WMS experience at any level.
- Strong interpersonal, and cross functional/team leadership.
- Good organization skills with strong attention to detail.
- WMS concentric technical and logical capability to solve problems - configuration, testing, troubleshooting WMS systems.
- Must be able to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extensive WMS experience as well as PC skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Manhattan preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and be highly motivated to find highly motivated to find solutions, understand the reasons behind each activity, then analyzing and sharing information
- Must be able to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- The position will require the ability to communicate and comprehend information both verbal and written so others will understand. Proficiency in English both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering Technology, or Operations.
- Level 1 WMS Support for Operations System Problems.
- Solid Continuous Improvement understanding with formal LSS training strongly preferred; Green Belt preferred.
Working Conditions:
- The position will require sitting, standing, and walking in both an office and warehouse environment.
- The position may require moving totes/boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, twisting, bending, climbing, grasping, and other repetitive movements.
- The position will require on-site support between normal work hours Monday - Friday which occasionally could encompass some 2nd shift work, weekend work, and/or 24/7 support for software issue resolution when production is down as operational needs dictate.
