About the Role
Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for a Web Developer on our Information Services team. This position will plan, develop, design, establish, and maintain the commercial lines applications using technical expertise to achieve the company’s marketing, services and information goals.
Ideal candidates will have experience with a variety of web application development tools and software such as C#.NET and JavaScript.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Designs, develops, and implements web applications using development languages such as C#.NET and JavaScript
- Troubleshoots and maintains existing web application software – pertinent to the commercial lines portals
- Meets on a regular basis with the Systems Development management team to ensure the company’s commercial lines applications are delivering the appropriate functionality
- Takes direction from management on modifications to applications as needed and provides recommendations on design, architecture, tools, and software needed to satisfy requirements
- Assists with the web server including software installations, upgrades, and performance tuning to maintain appropriate service levels and ensure user response times fall within acceptable parameters
- Proficient in writing SQL queries to access information from backend databases, primarily SQL Server
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Communication or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of web application development experience
- Experience with a variety of web application development tools and software such as C#.NET and JavaScript
- Experience with relational database programming using SQL
- Experience with Git a plus
Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 annually. The specific offer will vary based on an applicant's education, qualifications, professional experience, skills, abilities, and any applicable designations/certifications. The posted pay range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience. The pay range may also be adjusted based on an applicant's geographic location.
The base pay is just one component of Donegal's total compensation package for employees. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
