Position Summary

The Wealth Management Middle Office Manager is responsible for providing functional and customer service leadership supporting the delivery of wealth management services. This individual promotes and supports the customer experience and business growth, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance by implementing and maintaining solutions, policies, procedures, and performance metrics designed to ensure effective oversight.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of Wealth Management functional teams ensuring associates are provided the skills and knowledge needed to effectively deliver services required while maintaining compliance with existing laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely completion of various client data management functions.
  • Demonstrate creativity in the design and development of servicing methods and remain abreast of industry trends.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of procedures related to WM operational and client data management functions.
  • Manage and lead team of Wealth support associates ensuring timely completion of performance reviews and providing mentoring and coaching to enhance the performance and development of associates.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Wealth Management line of business and other divisions of the bank, supporting growth outcomes, efficient processing and positive customer service experiences.
  • Support the development and monitoring of key performance metrics utilized to measure service performance and risk mitigation of functions within the team.
  • Support the development and monitoring of staffing models to aid in the analysis of staffing needs and/or areas of significant effort where process reviews may be required to improve workforce utilization or efficiency.
  • Participate in activities related to bank and system integrations ensuring minimal disruptions to customer service and ensuring accuracy of data throughout the process
  • Lead small to medium scale initiatives by designing and communicating outcomes, managing the delivery of others and meeting or exceeding established deadlines.

Education & Experience

  • Knowledge of:
    • Financial services industry with a focus on operational processes and technology
    • Understanding of requirements related to client data reporting for wealth management
    • Working knowledge of existing laws and regulations
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Solid project and time management skills
  • Ability to:
    • Balance producing strong results with proper risk management
    • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; adaptive to change
    • Network and partner with leaders in various parts of the organization
    • Demonstrate effective problem resolution by making effective recommendations and implementing appropriate corrective action
    • Make independent decisions for which there are not always precedents
  • Education and Training:
    • Requires bachelor’s degree or 5 years Wealth Management experience
    • CFP, CTFA, CSOP, CTOP or FINRA Series 7, 66 (or equivalent), preferred
    • Requires 3or more years of related Service Support, Operations or Trust Administration experience.
    • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) and various file manipulation skills
    • Proven experience in a leadership capacity, ability to motivate at an individual and team level, experience overseeing other managers preferred

Benefits and Compensation

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.

(Base Pay Range: $68,000 -$94,000/year)
