As a wealth management advisor, you serve, solicit, develop and maintain business relationships with affluent Signature Service members and clients. You develop personalized strategies and provide tailored advice and solutions to help members and clients reach their financial and personal goals. You serve as an advisor for the 360° wealth management approach, namely for savings and investments (group and personal savings) and the banking offer, providing members and clients with premium support. You work closely with a team of professionals and specialized partners from various fields. Interpersonal savvy and communication skills are therefore essential. You work with a client base made up mainly of high-income earners, professionals and business owners with complex, specific needs. The complex nature of the work and initiatives requires extensive knowledge of your line of business. You balance member/client satisfaction, objectives, sound and prudent risk and compliance management, and rigorous implementation of the business model, its offerings and delivery. You represent Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with members and clients. You have leeway and opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Drum up new business and develop the full potential of existing members and clients.

  • Set goals and advise members and clients on the best strategies.

  • Develop a comprehensive 360° offering based on member and client needs.

  • Actively contribute to meeting sales objectives by developing action plans based on the business plan.

  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and best practices in your field.

  • Play an active role in promotional and public relations activities and maintain a presence in the business community.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers

  • Mutual fund representative certificate from the Ontario Securities Commission

  • Knowledge of French is required
