DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Support Wealth Advisors responsible for the development, design and implementation of comprehensive financial plans as well as other wealth planning deliverables. Provide internal support to planning professionals and back office operations to acting as the first point of contact for individual clients. Assist in the preparation and development of financial plans. Prepare client correspondence, miscellaneous documents and presentations. Communicate with clients and clients' other advisors to gather data and execute recommendations for a financial plan. Gather and interpret data in financial planning software such as eMoney and Wealth Plan. Organize and maintain client information. Review and summarize trust and estate planning documents for the Wealth Advisor to review. Coordinate with private banking, wealth management teams and internal resources on client engagements. Conduct research on various financial planning topics and concepts. Participate in client meetings and support Wealth Advisor in meetings. Participate in various special projects related to planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Financial Mathematics, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning, Estate Planning or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Wealth Advisor, Financial Planning Associate, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Using financial planning software eMoney; investment risks and suitability including risk tolerance, investment assumption, model portfolio, asset classes, market indices, and Monte Carlo Simulation; Risk management and insurance including life insurance, long term care, disability insurance, and annuity; Calculating estate tax projections including estate tax, gift tax, GST, Basic Exclusion Amount (BEA), DSUE, and remaining exemption; Federal and state estate planning strategies including Wills, Revocable Trust, Marital Deduction planning, Bypass Trusts, Insurance Trusts and irrevocable estate tax strategies using trusts; and Running cash flow analysis including Straight-line projection.
Job Location: 1230 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020.
Full-Time. Salary: $118,500 - $155,000 per year.
