What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

 

Woodard & Curran is seeking an Operation & Maintenance Technician in Wright City, Missouri. You will regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant facility (wells, pump, motors, etc.).as directed by the Project Manager. Participates in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours. Will be required to respond to emergency or unpredictable situations. This does include shift work.

Essential Functions:

  • Operates and maintains water treatment plant including telemetry controls, motors, pumps, process and data collection equipment.
  • Participates and may lead the daily operations maintenance of the water and/or wastewater treatment facility as directed by the Plant/Project Manager.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as operates all plant equipment.
  • Become familiar with corrective maintenance procedures common in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Performs daily checks of the plant to document operational status and maintenance requirements. 
  • Assists in maintaining a complete and accurate on-site log book and records on water and/or wastewater operations to include maintenance in accordance with compliance permits.
  • Monitors and controls assigned tasks to ensure cost-effective service to meet budget.
  • Coordinates to ensure that other plant employees follow established administrative, safety, and operating policies.
  • Perform lab testing per for regulatory limits.

  • Ability to safely and effectively operate assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to climb fixed ladders in excess of 20 feet.

What will you need to succeed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Courses in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in the operations and maintenance of water and/or wastewater industry equipment.
  • Proficiency with computers, including an ability to work with: SCADA, Microsoft Word, Excel, Maintenance Management Programs, and other site specific systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • May be required to be on call, work an irregular work schedule and overtime hours.
