Your New Role
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Warehouse Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the Materials Warehouse and Cycle Count process. Plans, directs and coordinates activities including safety, quality, productivity and employee relations. Supervises the Materials department's Team Leaders, Material Handling and Cycle Count teams.
As an Inventory Supervisor you will
- Actively participates in the management of inventory accuracy.
- Manages activities pertaining to cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Supports Cycle Count Team with material movements using a forklift when needed.
- Manage reconciliation processes.
- Investigates Inventory Discrepancies through root cause analysis processes.
- Develops and implements action plan.
- Supports the integrity of the Material Master Data base records (items, counts, BOMs and vendor). Work with all departments to maintain material items data in the system. Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve master data related issues and questions.
- Tracks lessons learned and implements continuous improvement.
- Creates and implements inventory management processes, flow charts, work instructions, forms and any document related to inventory management.
- Assists in improving ERP system functionality.
What you will need to succeed in this role
- Completion of post-secondary in a related field e.g. materials management and/or equivalent work-related experience.
- 5 years + minimum related experience
- Fundamental understanding of technology and solid understanding of ERP structures
- Manages workloads, deadline requirements, and dedicated resources to meet the needs of internal/external customers with respect to reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc data requests.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency, while maintaining focus in an environment with conflicting demands and priorities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and individually.
