About the Role – Warehouse Associates, alongside our team of Field Technicians, work with Caper Carts across our partner locations to set up, diagnose and resolve hardware and software related issues. You will be one of our subject matter experts for our cart components and construction. You will work with tickets submitted via our Support Portal when troubleshooting and resolution is needed. You will also provide valuable feedback on the state of hardware and software to our teams. 


Caper will provide you with all the safety equipment, tools, and work-instructions needed to solve issues. You will collaborate with and be supported by teammates to contribute your feedback, ideas, and processes to build the future of grocery.

About the Team - The Warehouse Team takes pride in managing the hardware life cycle from the time the carts arrive in our possession to the time they are delivered in store and beyond. Not only do we prep the carts for distribution, but we also take pride in providing support and maintenance to the carts, which will provide our retailers with little to no downtime.  

About the Job 

Description:

  • Unpack and conduct Inbound Quality Checks of incoming shopping carts and other hardware from our Manufacturer in China.
  • Set up carts to be shipped out to retailers by configuring the software and setting up the hardware to the needs of the retailer.
  • Conduct Outbound Quality Checks on outgoing hardware
  • Pack carts and other hardware to be shipped out to retailers
  • Provide feedback from warehouse and field deployed hardware back to the engineering team through our internal ticketing portal
  • Understand technical needs and issues, and suggest and implement solutions
  • Act as reference point for all Caper Cart related queries at the hardware level; Understand all aspects of cart components and their construction
  • Ensure outbound carts meet Weight & Measures Criteria
  • Support ongoing training of warehouse & field technicians needed to support store needs.
  • Investigate and resolve intermittent problems -provide troubleshooting and assist software support team.
  • Utilize electrical knowledge troubleshooting different components of our carts and related accessories (such as chargers). Would require to open up the different hardware modules and fix or replace the electrical components inside
  • Support ongoing training of warehouse & field technicians needed to support store needs

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Require knowledge of: Wi-Fi setups & configurations and wiring of routers
  • Experience in conforming to Weights and Measures criteria to ensure the carts meet all targets for local certification
  • Experience working with communication tools such as slack, google sheets & email
  • Able to use generic battery-operated power tools
  • Must be capable of working with powered stackers and pallet jack
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow established procedures & directives
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 40 kilograms
  • Must be meticulous and diligent with tracking materials with serial numbers
  • Enjoy learning about and working directly with software and hardware of new technology
  • Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills to support customer and team interactions, as well as documentation
  • Customer-focused orientation that aims to over-deliver on expectations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Point of Sales Hardware & Software Support, and other hardware with embedded scale
  • Experience at handling wires, electronic circuits, computers and other devices and high-tech devices such as copiers, printers, POS systems

Pay rate: $30CAD
