The Vice President of Corporate Accounts, is responsible leading and managing the strategic corporate account relationships, working closely with C-suite executives to drive long-term growth and success. The role is pivotal in shaping and executing high-level strategies that expand Covetrus’ footprint, while ensuring that our solutions evolve with the needs of our clients and the market. Internally, the VP must collaborate across the enterprise with key stakeholders including sales, customer engagement, commercial effectiveness, technology, marketing, regulatory, product, finance, and other depts. The VP also serves as a critical feedback source for market dynamics and pain points for innovation of new solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

C-Suite Engagement & Client Advocacy:

  • Forge Executive Relationships: Establish and nurture high-impact relationships with C-suite leaders across corporate accounts, ensuring alignment on long-term business goals and mutual value creation. 
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with internal executives, including sales, finance, marketing, and technology teams, to align corporate strategy with client objectives and maximize client satisfaction.
  • Market Leadership: Act as the voice of the customer at the executive level, providing insights on market dynamics, competitive landscapes and buying cycles, and emerging opportunities that can shape Covetrus' future innovations.

Strategic Growth & Development:

  • Long-Term Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive growth strategy for corporate accounts, with a focus on scaling the business, increasing profitability, and expanding market share.
  • Enterprise Expansion: Proactively identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and service expansion, guiding clients toward solutions that drive long-term value and deepen their relationship with Covetrus.
  • Future-Focused Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership to implement forward-looking business development initiatives, ensuring that Covetrus remains a market leader in the evolving veterinary landscape.
  • Talent: Recruit, coach, develop, lead and manage the Corporate Account team members to achieve their goals and maximize assigned account performance by bringing the total value to our customers.

Financial Acumen:

  • P&L Management: Own the full financial performance of corporate accounts, including profit, revenue, and growth. Work with C-suite stakeholders to create a financial strategy that supports long-term profitability while meeting immediate performance targets.
  • Budgeting & Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, and product teams to forecast budgets, monitor sales, profit goals and optimize expense management. Ensure the Corporate Accounts team is aligned with broader company financial objectives.
  • Strategic Growth: Identify financial opportunities to deepen partnerships and expand clients' share of wallet through value-added services, innovative pricing models, and tailored business solutions.

Product and Solution Delivery:

  • Innovative Solutions Development: Work closely with the product, technology, and marketing teams to ensure that the solutions provided to corporate accounts are innovative and aligned with customer needs. Influence the development of new product features and solutions by sharing feedback from C-suite clients.
  • Market Differentiation: Drive competitive advantage by offering tailored, integrated solutions that address specific pain points in the veterinary industry. Leverage Covetrus’ technology and service platform to create unmatched value for corporate clients.
  • New Product Launches & Innovation: Play a key role in the go-to-market strategy for new products, ensuring that corporate accounts are effectively integrated into launch plans and that solutions are scalable across the enterprise.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management required; prefer MBA (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in distribution or manufacturing industries, animal health experience a plus but not required. Ideally will have held progressively responsible and multi-functional positions.
  • Minimum 3 years successful sales and/or strategic account leadership or equivalent leadership responsibility
  • Ability to travel up to 50% or more of the time.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record of building trust from ground zero, synthesizing account goals into service offering, selling for the mutual benefit of the account.
  • Must have record demonstrative of strong sales / functional leadership and results.
  • Demonstrated experience with systems sales approaches and sales force automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire acceptance of change as well as strong ability to motivate.
  • Must be an outstanding communicator (oral and written) and presenter.
  • Thought leadership: client advocacy; self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit.
  •  Must be strategic thinker who understands the nature of the industry as well as customer and vendor relations.
  • Ability to effectively direct and motivate the performance of others, effectively delegate and mentor staff.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and budgeting skills
  • Must be a global thinker who is able to sell and negotiate change
  • Must be a proponent of sales management tools and sales force automation as well as a promoter of training at all levels in the sales organization.
  • Possess strong technical skills in computer technology, including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; working knowledge of Access and AS-400 system

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive

$236,160.00 - $438,720.00
