We are looking for a Global Head of Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance for our Product Development team in Needham, Massachusetts.

In this role, you’ll be pivotal in leading the company's efforts in ensuring the safety, regulatory, and compliance of all SharkNinja products, specifically by:

    • Regulatory Compliance:
      • Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements set by relevant local, national, and international regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.).
      • Monitor regulatory changes and developments and implement necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.
      • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to facilitate compliance and stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
    • Safety Standards:
      • Establish and oversee robust safety programs for product development.
      • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential safety hazards associated with products and processes.
      • Implement and maintain rigorous testing and validation processes to uphold product safety standards.
    • Product Labeling and Packaging Compliance:
      • Ensure product labeling and packaging comply with regulatory requirements.
      • Oversee the development and approval of product packaging to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and brand guidelines.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration:
      • Collaborate closely with departments such as Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Legal to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
      • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on regulatory matters and ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Crisis Management and Recall Planning:
      • Develop and implement crisis management plans and procedures to address safety or regulatory issues, including product recalls and regulatory investigations.
      • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to manage crisis situations while minimizing impact swiftly and effectively on consumers and the company's reputation.
    • Leadership and Team Development:
      • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Safety, Compliance, and Regulatory team.
      • Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
      • Recruit, develop, retain, and coach top talent.
Requirements:
    • Minimum of 12 – 15+ years of experience in regulatory affairs and compliance, within the consumer products industry, with a solid track record in leadership capacity.
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics/Electromechanical) required; advanced degree (e.g. MSc, MBA).
    •  Proven track record of successfully navigating regulatory requirements and implementing compliance strategies in a consumer products environment.
    • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and requirements governing consumer products.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
