We are looking for an experienced VP of Payer Partnerships to join our Business Development team. This role will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with senior executives at high-priority accounts, leveraging industry insights to inform strategic initiatives, and developing compelling proposals to showcase the value of Talkspace’s solutions. We are looking for someone who is excited to partner with us in delivering quality mental healthcare, while driving growth through payer partnerships.

This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC.

What You’ll Do

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with senior executives and decision-makers at high-priority and assigned payer accounts
  • Understand industry trends, challenges, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic initiatives
  • Develop and present compelling proposals showcasing the value of Talkspace’s solutions to clients
  • Oversee the sales cycle for new payer accounts, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure
  • Assist with business development initiatives and partnerships to drive referrals
  • Foster collaboration across internal departments to ensure successful implementation and delivery of services
  • Lead contract negotiations with national payers to secure favorable reimbursement rates and conditions
  • Monitor relevant state and federal legislation that could impact negotiations with health plans
  • Resolve escalated complaints that may affect Talkspace’s relationships with payers

About You

  • 10+ years of experience managing payer relationships and contracting in healthcare, including negotiation and implementation
  • 5+ years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably at a regional or national level
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior clinicians, C-suite executives, and other leaders to align on organizational goals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client needs and develop customized solutions
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including public speaking and proposal development
  • Results-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets and goals

Compensation

At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.

The base salary range for this role is between $180,000 and $190,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
