In this critical leadership role for Europe, you will drive full strategic and operational leadership of the regional THV Marketing, Training & Development and Digital teams for all relevant functional areas including: setting strategic direction, brand planning, product launch & portfolio management, therapy development, pathway optimization program, upstream marketing liaison, multi-channel management, Clinical and Sales training, HCP Education and digital strategy across the THV EU organization.
This role will be based in based in Nyon/Switzerland and reports directly to the SVP THV Europe.
How you will make an impact:

Develop agile marketing strategies and plans to grow and sustain market share, launch new products and drive the company image of global leadership in the field of structural/valvular heart disease.

Own the overall BU marketing, training and development and digital plan including all matters related to budgetary oversight, staffing, marketing programs and quality, regulatory & legal compliance.

Own flawless execution of innovation pipeline across the region.

Own relevant brand plans, ensuring a clear and aligned fit between the strategy of the BU, the operating plans established by the various marketing channels and the commercial organization and the specific annual investment plans behind tactics and programs.

Lead the strategy and design of practical and engaging learning solutions that target specific field based roles and focus on improving productivity and effectiveness in business and market development, product knowledge, and selling skills. Integrate learning and development skills with a sales and patient focused mindset when developing field training programs.

Develop solid relationships with all Global departments including Global and OUS Marketing, R&D, Logistics, RA/QA, Manufacturing and Customer Service and Business Excellence.

Provide personal leadership oversight in the performance and development of all staff with a focus on direct-line reporting managers, providing feedback, coaching and performance management as required and building the next generation of leaders.

Manage the following functions : brand & product management, product launch, congresses & events, field/country-based marketing, clinical and sales training, HCP Education and digital strategy.

Lead a team of marketing & training professionals around Europe (60+ team members); attract, develop, retain agile, high-potential talent in line with the needs of the THV organization
Education:
-
University Master Degree (MD, PhD, MBA) or equivalent with a strong focus on marketing, strategy and training development is preferred

Strong business acumen and med tech expertise

Strong organizational skills, with a dynamic analytical approach

Ability to identify potential market / product opportunities and threats

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to navigate a complex matrixed organization

Proven leadership experience and ability to develop talent.

Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment both with idea generation through to agile execution

English fluent, and proficiency in other European language would be an advantage
Experience:
-
Min. 15 years of successful sales, marketing/product management, training experience ideally in a Pan-European health industry environment

Proven successful people management and leadership across multi-layer organization

Medical device or pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience

Experience in the field of interventional Cardiology is preferred; with an in-depth knowledge of the EU market place being a distinct advantage

Background in Sales management and / or Sales training would be a plus, with proven skills and results, P&L management
