We are hiring a Vice President of Innovation. In this role you will lead teams in identifying, incubating, and scaling groundbreaking projects that leverage emerging trends and technologies within the financial services industry. This role is pivotal in driving the company's strategic vision for innovation, focusing on areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Tokenization, Identity, Network Effects, and other transformative capabilities. The VP of Innovation will lead cross-functional teams, foster a culture of experimentation, and ensure the successful transition of innovative concepts into impactful business solutions.

  • Strategic Innovation Leadership:
    • Work with Chief Digital Officer to develop and execute the Innovation Lab's strategic roadmap, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
    • Identify and analyze emerging trends and technologies in the financial services sector and beyond.
    • Provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations to senior management on innovation opportunities and potential disruptions.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and identify potential areas for differentiation through innovation.
  • Project Incubation and Development:
    • Lead the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of new project ideas, focusing on feasibility, viability, and scalability.
    • Oversee the incubation process, guiding cross-functional teams through rapid prototyping, experimentation, and validation.
    • Develop and implement methodologies for agile project management and iterative development.
    • Establish clear metrics and KPIs to measure the success of innovation projects.
  • Technology and Trend Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of emerging technologies and their potential applications in financial services.
    • Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, Blockchain, data analytics, and other relevant fields.
    • Evaluate the potential impact of regulatory changes and industry trends on innovation initiatives.
    • Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors, startups, and research institutions.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Build and lead a high-performing team of innovation professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments, including technology, product, marketing, and compliance.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including startups, academic institutions, and industry experts.
    • Facilitate workshops and design thinking sessions to generate new ideas.
  • Communication and Advocacy:
    • Effectively communicate the Innovation Lab's vision, strategy, and progress to senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Serve as an advocate for innovation within the organization, promoting a culture of experimentation and risk-taking.
    • Create and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials to diverse audiences.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • History innovating new products, building POCs and testing in the market
  • Proven experience to pivot quickly
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Experience building POCs
