Vice President of Finance
Your Role:
As VP of Finance, you will be a pivotal member of our fast-paced and expanding team. Working closely with our Chief Financial Officer, finance department colleagues, IT department, country managers and operations, you will oversee financial and management accounts, analyse operational data, and contribute to budgeting processes. Your expertise will drive insights and improvements across the finance department and the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial and management accounting processes, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
- Develop and implement transfer pricing models, including arm’s length calculations and validations.
- Apply transfer pricing principles and corporate income tax policies, ensuring compliance and conducting regular analyses.
- Liaise with international advisors on tax and reporting matters, staying updated on changing legislation and integrating updates into processes.
- Coordinate and prepare annual reports, including oversight of their preparation and submission.
- Manage financial reporting audits and associated administrative tasks.
- Address queries from regulatory bodies and tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with equity capital requirements, oversee capital inflows and outflows, and manage transaction declarations and registry notifications.
- Translate reporting requirements into accounting processes for our new lending platform and validate financial information.
- Monitor and report on costs, ensuring accurate tracking and presentation.
- Analyse and implement FX hedging strategies and other currency risk management measures.
- Participate in the development and validation of KPI reporting frameworks.
- Provide accounting support in relation to our P2P funding platforms and oversee related processes.
- Supervise and guide daily accounting operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with collection companies overseas, conducting analysis and decision-making for partnership actions.
- Assess and provide recommendations regarding any disputes when it comes to accounting partners.
- Calculate and ensure compliance with financial covenants.
- Develop and apply IFRS knowledge as needed.
- Model portfolios and prepare forecasts to support strategic decisions.
Your Profile:
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Professional experience in accounting and/or auditing.
- Extensive practical knowledge of accounting, controlling, and finance principles.
- Strong analytical skills, with familiarity in financial modelling.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent multi-tasking and organisational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Directo accounting software is advantageous.
- Fluent in English & ability to speak Estonian.
- Ability to come to our Tallinn office on a periodic basis is expected.
