The Role

The Vice President of Finance & Analytics plays a critical role in driving the company’s financial strategy and ensuring alignment with its growth objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, delivering data-driven insights to support decision-making, and monitoring financial performance against strategic goals. The VP of Finance acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing guidance on financial risks, opportunities, and resource allocation. Additionally, they lead and mentor the finance ops and analytics team, collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop financial models for new initiatives. The role requires strong financial acumen, leadership, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, high-growth environment typical of fintech.

Where you can make an impact: 

  • Lead Financial Planning & Analysis: Drive the overall FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, and variance analysis. Ensure the company’s financial performance aligns with its strategic goals.
  • Strategic Business Partner: Partner with the executive team, CFO, CBO, CPO and other department leaders, to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy. Provide clear insights into business drivers, financial trends, and risks to inform decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation and management of comprehensive budgets and forecasts. Ensure financial projections reflect the company’s objectives and market conditions.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports, highlighting key trends and business drivers. Present monthly and quarterly financial results, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor company financial health and drive continuous improvement. Analyze operating results, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product, marketing, sales, and operations teams to develop financial models that support new initiatives and business cases. Lead financial analysis for potential M&A, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and excellence. Ensure the team delivers robust financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.

Your experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (masters degree a plus).
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, analytics or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the fintech, tech, or high-growth industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to partner with C-level executives and provide strategic financial guidance.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP, financial modeling software, Excel, etc. Oracle Cloud and Pigment a plus).
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically and work through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
