Job Description
As the VP of Engineering, you will lead a talented organization of developers and leaders delivering best-in-class solutions for QAD customers and internal stakeholders. You will bring a strong understanding of development, testing, and customer impacts to drive QAD’s customer experience. With a strategic mindset and passion for innovation, you will guide the team in optimizing processes, refining KPIs, and identifying opportunities for impactful investments in QAD products to enhance customer experience.
This is a remote position with a preference for the successful candidate to be in the Central or Eastern timezones in the U.S. due to our global customer base and the global workforce this role will manage.
What You Will Do:

Lead and mentor: Guide a talented team of sustaining engineers, fostering their growth and development.

Champion customer satisfaction: Embodying extreme ownership, act as a passionate advocate for QAD customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Provide Technical leadership: Act as a point of escalation within the Engineering organization, join and lead discussions with QAD Support, Services, and customers to collaborate, set expectations, and look for opportunities to resolve current challenges.

Drive operational excellence: Implement and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and effectiveness within the sustaining engineering team.

Monitor performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Strategic investment: Identify and recommend opportunities for strategic investments in QAD products to enhance the customer experience.

Problem-solving powerhouse: Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex customer issues promptly and effectively.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, support, sales) to ensure alignment and seamless execution.

Continuous improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance processes and optimize workflows.

Product quality: Establish mechanisms to assess incoming Customer defect trends to measure and improve product quality

Technical expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of QAD products and technologies to effectively guide the team.

Planning: Forecast trends, and implement measures for timely delivery of bug fixes and patches.
- Efficiency improvements: Champion product Supportability and debug improvement initiatives to lower the time to resolve customer reported product issues.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Industry Experience: Experience in the Enterprise software industry or a related field with Customer facing roles.

QAD Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of specific QAD products and technologies.

Agile/Scrum/Kanban Experience: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban development environment.

KPI and Metrics: Experience in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance.

Travel: willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

Compensation packages based on experience and desired skill set
Compensation Package:
-
Base Salary Range: $190,000 to $230,000 (12 Months)

This position is also eligible for an annual company performance bonus.

Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity
