Overview of Role

As the Vice President of AI/ML at 66degrees, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our AI/ML strategy. You will lead a talented team of conversational AI and data science and MLOps leaders, architects and engineers to develop cutting-edge solutions that address complex business challenges and drive value for our clients as well as growth for our business. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's AI/ML vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Identify and prioritize AI/ML opportunities that align with business objectives.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML and their potential applications.
• Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the AI/ML team.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing AI/ML team. 
• Attract, recruit, and retain top AI/ML talent to grow the team strategically
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve their full potential.
• Operationally drive the AI/ML team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and solutions.
• Ensure the quality, scalability, and maintainability of AI/ML systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities into products and services.
• Establish and enforce best practices for AI/ML development and deployment.
• Drive the adoption and utilization of AI/ML solutions across the organization.
• Measure and communicate the business impact of AI/ML initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI/ML development and deployment.
• Ensure ethical and responsible use of AI/ML technologies.
• Participate in client leadership discussions, offering AI/ML expertise and insights.
• Provide occasional sales support and client support as needed.
• Review Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure alignment with AI/ML capabilities and resources.
• Drive integration with alliances programs to leverage partnerships and expand AI/ML capabilities
• Establish a speaker presence at industry events to showcase 66degrees' AI/ML thought leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a proven track record of delivering impactful results.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing and developing AI/ML teams.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms, techniques, and tools.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Passion for AI/ML and its potential to transform businesses and society.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or related or equivalent work experience required.
