Job Description
As part of our mandate to create empathetic and innovative products, you will work on user-centred design solutions for high impact print and digital projects ranging from branding, packaging, and marketing collaterals within the healthcare and pharmaceutical ecosystem. In your role, you will work closely with the design team, researchers and other partners in the pharmaceutical ecosystem and have the opportunity to lead and grow while contributing to exciting projects. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for servicing user needs will be essential in crafting visually engaging design solutions that prioritize patient experience, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects end-to-end, take ownership and responsibility of the junior designers’ output
- Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives, with a focus on healthcare design and user needs
- Drive team members to create visually appealing designs for healthcare-related materials, including visual identity, print collaterals, packaging and brand design
- Co-create and collaborate with the brand strategist to ensure the visual design output is in line with the strategic vision
- Participate in user research from a visual design POV and synthesise information to carve relevant insights that would contribute to design decisions
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and conceptualizing design ideas
- Apply design principles, including accessibility and regulatory considerations, to ensure user-friendly and compliant designs
- Designing, developing and maintaining existing brands
- Articulating and presenting visual design concepts, ideas within the team and to external stakeholders
- Managing projects and project timelines, ensure timelines are met
- Coordinate and manage stakeholders and other team members to ensure the project deliverables are on track
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and inspirational leadership to junior designers, playing a pivotal role in design decision-making and project direction.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, adopt and implement best practices, and incorporate emerging design tools and technologies to continually elevate your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- BA or Master’s Degree in any of these disciplines - Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Applied Arts or any other such Design Discipline.
- Have 6 to 8 years of experience designing for brand and print, showcasing layout, typography, brand and identity, packaging, building guidelines etc.
- Thorough knowledge of print processes, overseeing production
- Working knowledge in using design/print tools and softwares such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Able to come up with strong visual design concepts and articulate design ideas to the stake holders.
- Great eye and passion for visual design principles.
- Strong online portfolio demonstrating your design projects and creative abilities.
Required Soft Skills:
- Great verbal/written communication in English and other local languages.
- Storytelling skills with the ability to successfully articulate design concepts to your team and stakeholders.
- Display leadership skills and qualities
- Ability to work in an agile manner, fast paced and good with time management and deadlines
- Attention to detail and willingness to apply hands on approach.
- A team player with proven experience in working with cross functional teams
- Indicators of creative thinking through write ups, thesis, blogs, or other such source.
- Eager to learn and keep up to date with new developments such as new tools, technologies, and trends in the design space.
- Ability to work within constraints, and adaptability to changing circumstances.

Branded generics is one of our biggest businesses in Emerging market and our branded products are available 48 countries across 5 regions. Our key markets are Russia, China and Brazil. We also have presence in Latin America, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), CIS and Romania. We have added 13 new geographies in the last 5 years.
In the last 4 years, our emerging markets business’ growth rate has doubled (June ’22). Our diverse portfolio spans all segments. We are continuously advancing technologies, enhancing efficiency of operations and increasing our portfolio of highest-quality quality products.
With nearly 40 products and 6 mega brands, Russia is a key market. With more than 30 years of operations in the region, as of FY22, we have reported a year-on-year growth of 32%. This was driven by improved existing business performance, launch of new products during the year along with divestment of some non-core brands. 6 key products were ranked among the top 200 bestselling formulation brands, as per IQVIA in its report for the 12-month period ended 31 March, 2022. 5 of our leading products were voted as the ’Product of the Year’ by the consumers – reaffirming the trust that the people of Russia have in them.
We are among the earliest Indian pharma companies to have a business presence in China. We have a representative office that focuses on filings and approvals, including the Group Purchasing Organisation (GPO). Our joint venture entity (Kunshan Rotam Reddy Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd) offers a portfolio of niche and essential products, strengthening our presence in China.
In Latin America we have a strong presence in Brazil and Colombia. In just a little over five years in Brazil, our team has established itself in the region with our diverse portfolio. Our primary focus in Brazil is oncology and institutional. Our team in Colombia was certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’.
Through our comprehensive COVID-19 portfolio, we were able to reach over 5 million patients in low and middle-income countries.
