Job Description

Job Summary:

We seek a creative and technically skilled Video & Multimedia Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing team. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and editing engaging video content that supports our marketing strategies, enhances brand awareness, and drives customer engagement across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be a passionate storyteller with a strong understanding of video production workflows, excellent technical abilities, and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.

Base Salary Range:   $61,000 - $74,000

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualization and Planning: Collaborate to understand project goals, target audiences, and brand guidelines. Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and scripts for various video projects, including promotional videos, customer testimonials, training materials, social media content, and internal communications.
  • Video Production: Manage all aspects of video production, including filming on-location or in a studio setting, operating cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices. Ensure high-quality footage and sound.
  • Video Editing and Post-Production: Utilize professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos. This includes adding graphics, animations, text overlays, music, sound effects, and color correction.
  • Asset Management: Organize and maintain a library of video footage, audio files, graphics, and project files. Ensure efficient workflow and easy access to assets for future projects.
  • Platform Optimization: Optimize video content for various online platforms, including website, social media channels (YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), and internal communication platforms, considering aspect ratios, file formats, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing specialists, product managers, and sales teams, to ensure video content aligns with overall marketing objectives and brand messaging. Communicate effectively on project timelines and progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest video production techniques, software updates, and industry trends to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of video content. Focus on AI developments and batch video creation.
  • Quality Control: Before publication, ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and quality standards.
  • Performance Analysis: Assist in tracking and analyzing the performance of video content to identify areas for improvement and optimize future strategies. Provide recommendations based on data to improve engagement, reach, and conversions.
  • Equipment Support: Maintain and troubleshoot video production equipment, ensuring operational readiness, and outline suggestions for inventory improvement.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience creating video content for industrial, automotive, hardware, or lawn & garden industries.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and video performance metrics.
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for video content.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and their application in video content creation and optimization.
  • Experience with mass content production workflows and strategies for efficient video creation at scale.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects for creating and implementing video templates and motion graphics for streamlined production.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Video Production, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in video production and editing.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality, engaging video content for various platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects), and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Solid understanding of video production principles, including composition, lighting, sound recording, and storytelling.
  • Experience with various camera systems and video equipment.
  • Knowledge of video compression techniques and optimization for different online platforms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.   
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong visual aesthetic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A portfolio or reel demonstrating diverse video production and editing skills is required.
