About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic Creative Team.  This role is crucial in bringing our client's visions to life, primarily within the automotive industry.  As a Video Editor at Constellation, you will be an integral part of the creative process, transforming raw footage into compelling and engaging videos that captivate our audience.  This position demands a strong technical foundation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. 

Your expertise in video editing, coupled with a familiarity with motion graphics, will be essential in delivering exceptional results that meet and exceed client expectations.  This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned video editor who is comfortable utilizing technology to scale video production and is passionate about creating impactful visual stories.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Edit raw video footage into high-quality, engaging videos for a variety of clients, with a primary focus on the automotive industry.
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the Creative team.
  • Utilize a systematic and technical approach to video editing, ensuring efficient workflows and consistent quality.
  • Employ technology solutions to streamline and scale high-volume video production by utilizing and building templates.
  • Incorporate motion graphics to enhance video content.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current video editing trends and techniques.
  • Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and client specifications.
  • Manage and organize video assets effectively.
  • Meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactively contribute to the creative process and offer innovative ideas.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Video Editing within a creative agency or post-production facility.
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills (portfolio link or demo reel required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Video Editing, Film, or a related field.
  • Experience working with raw footage directly from video shoots.
  • Ability to learn comprehensive technical processes to expedite large volume generation of video assets utilizing templates, as well as ideate processes to increase efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively 
  • A strong understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere is required.
  • Basic proficiency in color grading is required.
  • Familiarity with After Effects is a plus.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

Compensation Package:

The total compensation package is made up of base compensation, equity, and benefits.

New York Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
