About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Video Editor to join our growing in-house video production team. This position is an exciting opportunity to play a direct role in developing digital content that will both educate current Streeters, and help recruit your future colleagues. 

As our Video Editor, you’ll work on everything from internal educational trainings, to recruitment videos, to tutorials on how to play Figgie. Your eye for composition, color, and coherence will help ensure every video project we produce meets our quality standards. 

Our team takes a holistic and thoughtful approach to video production and we’ll look to you not only to execute at a high level, but lend your creative expertise from conception to final product. You will have room to grow your skills, try new things, and really make this position your own. Your ideas and solutions will make the team stronger.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating daily with other creatives like designers, animators, and copywriters, as well as subject matter experts across the firm to make sure each video is tonally and factually accurate
  • Handling all aspects of post-production and considering things like pacing, narrative, and structure to craft the strongest edits possible 
  • Leveraging creative problem solving to address challenges that arise during the editing process
  • Sifting through large quantities of footage 
  • Collecting assets (graphics, charts, animations, etc.) to incorporate into edits
  • Managing asset collection with freelancers and external vendors
  • Using strong visual and editorial judgment to foresee feedback and mitigate revisions
  • Copyediting and QC-ing your work 

The right candidate will be able to lean on their strong technical and communication skills to create captivating content. You should be willing to step into any conversation eager to learn and ask targeted questions to push projects in the right direction.

This position sits within our Creative Engagement team, a close-knit and nimble group that continues to grow alongside the firm. You will jump right into a variety of projects with little red tape and a quick feedback loop — an environment that really lets the creative process shine. 

A portfolio of work is required to apply.

About You

  • 3-5 years of experience in film, media, or video editing
  • Has experience with graphics packages and visual effects; experience with DSLR shooting and video production is a plus
  • Able to manipulate audio tracks, understand sound mixing, and sync sound bites and effects with visuals
  • Strong color grading and lighting skills 
  • Has a deep understanding of a variety of video formats and codecs and how to render and export content in different file types and resolutions
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once; can independently manage deadlines to deliver projects on time
  • Excellent organizational and file management skills; can stay flexible and humble if project requirements shift during the production process
  • Communicates clearly with colleagues and external partners; enjoys learning from people of varied backgrounds
  • Detail-oriented team player with a positive attitude 
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Audition with introductory knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop
