Blue Owl is seeking a Senior Associate/Vice President to join the Real Estate Finance accounting team in Scarsdale, NY. Our Real Estate platform currently has over $27B of AUM and comprises a team of seasoned investment and accounting professionals with significant and diverse experience from some of the world’s leading investment firms and financial institutions.

We seek to provide our investors with attractive risk-adjusted returns by originating, executing, and managing investments, including mortgages, mezzanine loans, securities, and customized capital solutions. The team works with real estate sponsors and operators across sectors with a focus on serving as the capital partner of choice for leading institutions. Excellent opportunity for a professional in the Westchester area seeking a small-team environment while collaborating with a large corporation simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with team members to oversee third party accounting provider for multiple Separately Managed Accounts and Private Funds.
• Assist in the preparation and timely submission of periodic performance reports and compliance reports for clients.
• Assist with mark to market accounting for debt instruments (running and creating models).
• Assist in CMBS and Loan valuation
• Assist with trade settlements, issue resolution and account maintenance, working with broker/dealers and custodial banks.
• Assist the senior team members and other staff with year-end fund financial statements management of the YE audit and reviewing other fund related reports.
• Other ad-hoc accounting tasks as delegated by the senior team members.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree from a top-tier undergraduate program is required.
• 5-7 years of experience (7+ years preferred) in accounting (preferably in private equity, private credit, family office, hedge fund or investment banking) with working knowledge of investment products, real estate private equity or debt space.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and Investment Fund accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and computer skills with a thorough knowledge of excel.
• Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with autonomy to accomplish objectives promptly.

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $150,000 to $200,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
