This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 2-3 days minimum per week in the office.
The primary function of the Vice President Information Technology for the Workday Financials Product and Platform team is to provide effective leadership for the finance transformation program, serving as the Workday Financials Platform Lead working closely with internal and external business and technology stakeholders to plan, develop and deliver the solution.
This Vice President Information Technology role will lead the development, implementation and ongoing support for a Workday Financials Product and Platform team within the IT organization. HarbourVest is transitioning our Corporate Accounting and related financial systems from a Microsoft Great Plains general ledger platform to Workday Financials. This role will provide leadership for a multi-year finance transformation program that will update our business processes and the supporting technology solutions to enable our organizational growth goals and objectives.

What you will do:
- Lead the technology platform team responsible for planning, implementing and supporting the transition from current Microsoft Great Plains corporate accounting system to Workday Financials.
- Contribute to product and platform roadmap development and delivery to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Engage business, technology and external partners to develop the technology solution that enables our corporate accounting and related financial system processes and workflows.
- Leads the development of solutions alternatives and prioritization to support delivering the highest business value.
- Manages team to iterate on feature development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
What you bring:
- Proven capabilities and experience in three or more of the following areas: Enterprise Systems Strategy, Architecture, Planning, Development, Program/Project Management, Implementation and Operational Support.
- Background in Financial Services and/or financial applications; including experience with transactional systems.
- Experience with Agile software development, traditional project management, and Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.
- Successful results with large or sophisticated programs, projects and processes from initiation through implementation.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience translating business and technical concepts or decisions with diverse audiences.
- Strengths with analytical, data, problem solving and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and quality to fulfill responsibilities.
- Experience leading highly engaged teams that produce consistently strong results that meet and exceed business objectives.
Education Preferred
- Bachelor of Science (B.S) or Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience, MBA beneficial
Experience
- 10 years or more of progressive technology experience, in Financial Services preferred
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform leadership required
- Workday experience required and certifications preferred
