Job Description: mRNA Vaccine Marketing Sr Brand Manager/Brand Manager
ROLE SUMMARY
Comirnaty (CMT) is an mRNA vaccine for COVID-19, and recognized as one of the key products that will lead growth of Pfizer. CMT was widely administrated under the special temporary NIP program led by the national government, but the program was terminated at the end of Mar.2024, and the government determined that COVID-19 vaccination will be under the NIP category B, same as flu vaccination, beyond 2024. CMT was re-lauched in full commercialization in May.2024 for the NIP category B starting from fall/winter season of 2024/25. Keys to success of CMT is increase of vaccination rate and maintenance of high market share in very competitive market by other companies' market entry.
CMT Vaccine Brand Manager is expected to contribute to maximizing the value of CMT by developing and conducting commercial strategies and tactics to both increase vaccination rate and win the market competition in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders. CMT Brand Manager will closely work with mRNA Vaccine Marketing Senior Brand Manager and report to mRNA Vaccine Marketing lead.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to creating and leading commercial strategy and tactics of CMT
    • Proactively join discussions among global/regional/local cross-functional colleagues (Medical, Health & Values, CSG, and Public Affairs) and bring creative ideas to develop commercial strategy and tactics
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders (HCPs, academia, and national/local governments) to develop an environment where COVID-19 vaccination is accelerated
    • Develop a plan based on analysis obtained from data, facts, and insights, and lead commercial activities by leveraging omni-channels
    • Set appropriate KPIs for commercial activities and keep updating plans and actions based on feedback
    • Create materials based on insights obtained through analytics to deliver information and messages to encourage HCPs and consumers to use CMT
    • Conduct qualitative/quantitative analyses and research to earn customer insights for revenue forecasts and commercial tactics
    • Keep eyes open for new information on the global and local competitive landscape, the latest discussions among KOLs and academia, and local legislation regarding immunization
  • Adhere to Pfizer company policies, compliance rules/regulations, SOPs, and pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines


QUALIFICATIONS

  • More than 3 years of experience in brand marketing is required
  • Fluent communication in Japanese and English in both writing and speaking
  • Analytic and strategic thinking and ability to articulate business direction and priorities
  • Strong leadership, project management, and coordination skills across large groups of cross-functional teams
  • Actively contribute to creating and implementing innovative ideas, as well as to fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Understand analytic tools/methods, demonstrate the ability to collect customer insights, and translate them to implications which leads to the robust brand strategy
  • Build broad accountability, trust, empower, and adapt own style to fit the needs of the situation and individual
  • Be agile in delivering the values of Pfizer vaccines
