We are looking for an experienced and proactive Value Chain and Circularity Advisor to lead the integration of sustainability principles across the entire value chain—from suppliers to customers, including our own products. You will focus on product lifecycle management, driving circularity and sustainability improvements within the organization. Working closely with key business units, including procurement, product development, and sales, you will ensure that ESG principles are embedded in all aspects of the value chain, enhancing our environmental, social, and governance impact.

As a key part of the ESG team, you will contribute to setting and achieving sustainability goals related to product lifecycle and circularity, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, minimize waste, and enhance resource efficiency. You will also be responsible for ensuring that these efforts align with regulatory requirements and the company's broader ESG strategy.

Your responsibilities

  • Value Chain Integration: Collaborate with procurement, product development, and customer-facing teams to embed ESG principles across the value chain, from raw material sourcing to product end-of-life.

  • Lifecycle Assessment: Lead efforts to assess and improve the environmental and social impact of products throughout their lifecycle, focusing on resource efficiency and waste reduction.

  • Circularity Strategy: Drive the development and execution of circular economy strategies, promoting reuse, recycling, and product redesign to reduce environmental impact.

  • Sustainability Metrics: Oversee the collection and analysis of data related to the sustainability of the value chain, including carbon footprint, material usage, and supply chain transparency.

  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure compliance with ESG regulations, such as CSRD and EU Taxonomy, and integrate these frameworks into value chain processes.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers, to foster collaboration on sustainability initiatives.

  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional sustainability projects related to the value chain and circularity, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall ESG strategy and goals.

  • Reporting and Transparency: Support the preparation of detailed reports on the company's value chain sustainability efforts for internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability reports and customer communications.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for ongoing improvements in circularity, product lifecycle management, and supply chain sustainability.

What you bring

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or related fields, with a focus on industrial sectors and value chain management.

  • Circular Economy Expertise: In-depth knowledge of circular economy principles and product lifecycle management, including experience in implementing circularity strategies in industrial companies.

  • Project Management: Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams and lead complex projects from concept to implementation.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with key ESG regulations and frameworks (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD, etc.).

  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in sustainability data management and reporting tools.

  • Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
