V-Core - Cloud Solution Architect

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures on AWS.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Select and implement appropriate AWS services to meet business requirements.

• Implement Least Privilege Access security principals for access control

• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using services like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other relevant tools.

• Perform cost analysis and optimization of cloud resources, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions align with architectural best practices and business goals.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members on AWS best practices and cloud technologies.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud security policies and procedures.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices.

• Document and diagram architectural solutions and infrastructure designs.

• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues.

Education

BSc degree in computer engineering, computer science or any similar technical field of study.

Professional Experience

From 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Other Specifications:

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS.

• Deep understanding of AWS core services 

  • Compute services e.g. EC2, ECS, AWS Lambda

  • Task management e.g. Amazon simple queue

  • Data management solutions e.g. Amazon S3, DynamoDB, RDS

  • Data Streaming solutions e.g. Amazon Kinesis, Amazon SNS

  • Monitoring solutions e.g. Cloud Watch, Grafana, Prometheus

  • Network configurations e.g. Advanced skills in configuring VPC peering, Transit Gateway, or hybrid cloud setups.

  • IAM, VPC, AWS Auto Scaling

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).

• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and implementation.

• Experience implementing and managing monitoring and logging solutions.

• Proven ability to perform cost analysis and optimization of cloud resources.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional)  highly preferred.

• Experience using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD is highly recommended.
