Position Overview:
Beemaps is looking for an experienced and creative UX Product Designer to join our team. As an UX Product designer at Hivemapper, you’ll work closely with the go-to-market, product management, hardware, and engineering teams to envision the future of mapping!
In this role, you will...
- UI/UX Design & Prototyping: Design user interfaces for web and mobile applications, create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups, and quickly prototype ideas to assess viability.
- Design Systems & Brand Consistency: Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure a cohesive UI, while aligning final products with Beemaps’ brand identity.
- End-to-End Product Design Ownership: Drive the complete product design lifecycle, from understanding user needs to delivering final design solutions that are both simple and powerful.
- Collaboration & Implementation: Work closely with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation, participate in design reviews, and refine designs based on feedback.
- Continuous Learning & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, continuously improving design solutions for optimal user experience.
About you
- 4-10 years of design experience at a product-driven tech company
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design projects
- Has a demonstrated ability to tackle complex and ambiguous problems with user-centered solutions
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication skills through design deliverables, videos, and written artifacts
- A big plus is experience working on products related to mapping, automotive, complex data sensor networks, or autonomous vehicles.
