RBC’s Office of the US CIO is responsible for the oversight of all technology supporting the firm’s Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), Global Asset Management, and Functions within the US.

The US IT Business Analyst & Project Manager role is accountable to the US CIO and focuses on improving IT governance and processes. This role is focused on managing technology risks and delivering actionable metrics that align with business and regulatory requirements. This hands-on role is responsible for analyzing IT processes, risks, and data to ensure alignment with organizational, regulatory, and business objectives.  The role also ensures consistent execution across multiple lines of business, technology programs, reinforcing governance, risk management, and enabling value realization for the US IT Operations.

What will you do?

  • Process Optimization: Document and improve IT risk governance while aligning with ITIL and FFIEC guidelines and organizational standards.
  • Risk Governance: Oversee US IT risk remediation governance, tracking and ensuring alignment with US IT standards. Provide concise updates to leadership on progress and areas of improvement.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Foster a collaborative environment with US IT stakeholders to ensure seamless development of key metrics, successful outcomes, and effective risk remediation support. Provide comprehensive, timely, and in-depth analytical insights to stakeholders to drive informed decision making and address IT risks.
  • Informed Decision Making: Define, monitor, and analyze US IT metrics to track and make data-driven informed recommendations to enhance outcomes.
  • Actionable Insights:  Develop mechanisms for reporting key learnings to stakeholders, tracking progress against goals, and providing insights for possible improvement.
  • Sustainable Approach: Focus on ensuring appropriate metrics are used to provide effective early warning of risks to performance objectives and provide appropriate responses.
  • Agility: Engage in various projects as required and support and prepare ad-hoc analysis as requested.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5+ years of experience with IT process analysis, project management, analytics and enhancing metrics.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL and NIST practices and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive process improvements.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • High proficiency with data analysis using tools like Excel.
  • Must have an eye for design and able to create visually appealing presentations for leadership from large volume of data.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to address complex IT issues and provide recommendations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000- $190,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
