Position Summary:

We are seeking a bookkeeper who wants to jump in head-first and help drive fast growth in an entrepreneurial environment within the e-commerce/retail industry. 

We need a dynamic and talented person with at least 3 years of professional experience in retail accounting or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, willing to dive in and execute, and have excellent communication and leadership skills. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

AR/AP - Bookkeeping

  • Enter all new invoices into Quickbooks accounting software (a minimum of 3 years experience required)
  • Plan payments and process checks/ACHs
  • Regularly report AP outlook to the team
  • Loan compliance and reporting
  • Create POs for incoming inventory  

Insurance

  • Renewals and audits for all company policies
  • Review coverage and maintain proper levels

Tax Reporting

  • Compile sales tax returns and submit
  • Work with the Finance Director to complete state, local, and corporate payments

Compliance

  • Timely file all city, state and federal permit/license renewals
  • Audit compliance policies to mitigate risk

Reporting

  • Compile financial reports and present them to the Finance Director & CEO
  • Assist with knowledge base data management
Requirements

What You Bring to The Table:

  • Basic knowledge in prompting AI software like Chat GPT, Claud AI, etc.
  • You love accounting and implementing best practices that drive efficiency
  • You have a track record of implementing effective accounting processes and working with a team to achieve great results
  • You are enthusiastic about researching areas of improvement within accounting to increase workflow and support growth
  • You are excited about organizing information and creating effective ways to analyze and interpret data to inform business decisions
  • You are organized and process-driven and can build accounting workflows and procedures that are scalable
  • You have an innate ability to simplify and explain accounting/finance concepts and reports to partners as well as colleagues
  • You are comfortable interacting directly with vendors and partners 
  • You have experience or good working knowledge of QuickBooks, Intuit, Shopify and/or other accounting software
  • You have experience with Google Docs/Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and modelling
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in retail accounting or a closely related field
  • Communication.

    1. stable high-speed internet with backup
    2. computer (laptop or desktop) with recommended quad-core CPU 2.5hgz+, RAM 8GB+, and dual monitor
    3. headset, mic, and webcam for meetings
    4. focused workspace.
  2. * Fluent in conversational English written and verbal.
  3. Ideally, at least 1 year of work-from-home experience
