Job Summary

Enterprise Projects (EP) is a new and growing team within Arch’s Strategy and Innovation group that drives the future state design of strategically important underwriting and claims initiatives in line with Arch’s broader strategic imperatives. Our mission is to design modern user experiences to improve ease of doing business, productivity, and responsiveness to accelerate growth. To be successful, we need to help our underwriters and claim adjusters make better informed, faster decisions by designing experiences that incorporate innovative technologies, such as: AI-powered intelligent document processing, data enrichment via third-party sources, and analytics driven prioritization.

As a critical member of Arch’s Enterprise Projects team, the Unqork Engineer will play a crucial role in design, development, delivery, support and maintenance of Arch’s most strategically important projects. You will work on high-profile applications which will serve the enterprise to support wider teams and will drive the company’s decision-making and strategy. You will work alongside a talented team of API developers, Data engineers, UI/UX designers and other Unqork experts to build best-in-class workflows, applications and dashboards. We are seeking a skilled Unqork Engineer with 3-5 years of software development experience and preferred 2+ years of hands-on work with the Unqork low-code/no-code platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, experience building workflow-driven applications, and the ability to deliver scalable solutions to enterprise clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure module-based and workflow-driven applications using the Unqork platform.
  • Utilize Unqork components like Data Workflow, Initializer, Plug-ins, Calculator, and Timer to deliver business solutions.
  • Build reusable components, UI snippets, and workflows to streamline development across projects.
  • Implement and integrate external tools and services such as Snowflake/any DB via Workato, Analytics and SSO solutions.
  • Utilize Workflow components including Screen/Task, Exclusive Gateway, Signal, Hand-off, and Timer for application workflows.
  • Transform submission data for external integrations using Transforms and execute server-side API patterns for GET/POST operations.
  • Ability to design and implement multi-role transactional applications, dashboards, and other interfaces using Unqork.
  • Explore and leverage Unqork Marketplace templates to expedite project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement efficient business processes.
  • Migrate and modernize legacy applications to Unqork with minimal disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, working alongside Unqork engineering as needed.
  • Participate in Agile development processes (Scrum/Kanban) and utilize tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Unqork development components (Data Workflow, Decisions, Initializer, Plug-ins, Timer, Calculator, and Browser Storage etc..,).
  • Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, RESTful APIs, OAuth, and SSO.
  • Working knowledge of integrating third-party tools and APIs.
  • Familiarity with applications built on Java/OOPS platform and SQL for backend development.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Unqork low-code/no-code platform (Unqork Developer or Associate Configurator is required)
  • Experience in delivering Unqork applications for enterprise clients.
  • Basic understanding of backend integrations and SQL.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

75,000 - 96,000

Bonus 7%

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
