Bristow Helicopters invites applications for the position of an Unlicensed / “A” license aircraft engineer to work as part of our Falkland Island based team. Knowledge of working in a rotary / aviation background would be preferable but not essential. This position is responsible to the Chief Engineer.
Overall Purpose of Role:
To carry out line and base maintenance tasks under supervision in support of the operational flying requirement. Tasks may include scheduled & unscheduled maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification and component changes on the S92A & AW189.
Principal Responsibilities:

Supporting Bristow Falkland Island Maintenance Base with any support duties assigned by the Chief Engineer;

Help maintain / Improve Company Standards whilst ensuring compliance with both Company and regulatory procedures and practices.
Training:
-
A demonstrable interest and intent to pursue continued professional development i.e. in obtaining a Pt 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence;

Local training will be provided in aircraft handling, towing, forklift, and aviation company training as required. When assigned, mentor trainees / apprentices.
The successful candidate must:
-
Proven track record of performing aircraft maintenance operations in a safe, efficient, and effective manner under supervision;

Have the ability to work in all weathers and under time pressure;

Must be eligible to either work in the Falkland Islands or be able to meet Falkland Island work permit requirements;

Be IT literate in MS office applications is essential;

Working knowledge of ERP systems. SAP / eMX / RAMCO is desirable;

Good communication skills both verbal and written;

Ability to work effectively within a small team;

Flexibility to support a remote operation such as in the Falklands Islands.

The successful candidate will need to comply with local Immigration Policies, Medical Requirements and Security Clearance Processes to obtain a relevant work permit, if not a resident in the Falkland Islands.
