Essential Functions:
- Collects, reviews, and enters rating information into the system to provide quotes to underwriters for complex new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations and reinstatements
- Contacts agents and follows up for missing information
- Reviews and processes endorsements
- Develops relationships with agents to promote new accounts
- Participates in writing new business for basic accounts
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
- One year of underwriting support experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Keyboarding speed of 40 wpm with accurate data entry
- Good personal computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Self-direction and teamwork skills
- General knowledge of insurance terminology preferred
The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $45,000-$63,000 range or the $50,000-$69,000 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
