Underwriting Administrative Assistant
$16.66 / hour minimum starting pay
Job Level: Individual Contributor
What You Will Be Doing:
Sort, scan, and distribute mail, faxes, Document Control and unmatched checks. Handle must-answer phones for all Underwriting staff. Submit assigned invoices. Order consumer reports. Generate Canada Non-Resident Liability Cards and Loss History Reports. Distribute risk alerts and returned mail. Maintain Underwriting Department staffing roster and supplies.

- Superior communication and telephone skills
- Ability to perform the position with close to moderate supervision
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a harmonious manner with co-workers
- Technical ability to effectively navigate several computer systems and programs
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation

The Past to the Present
We opened our doors in 1946, but in those days, we were MFA Mutual Insurance® and we only offered auto insurance. We also only operated in Missouri. The Group of Companies includes Shelter Life Insurance Company, Shelter Reinsurance® and AmShield Insurance®.
