Job Description

Are you entering your final year in Civil Engineering and looking to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering, particularly in bridges and tunnels? AECOM is offering an Undergraduate - Structural (Bridges & Tunnels) role, providing practical training, exposure to industry-leading projects, and the opportunity for a full-time Graduate position after graduation.

About the Role
As an Undergraduate Structural Engineer, you will collaborate with industry experts, contribute to impactful bridge and tunnel projects, and develop proficiency in essential design software. This role is ideal for ambitious students seeking to build a strong foundation in structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn from senior engineers about developing designs, calculations, sketches, and project models.
• Work on structural drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Support project design by applying technical knowledge and ensuring high-quality outputs within timelines.
• Use software tools to support fundamental engineering problem-solving.
• Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.
• Actively seek learning opportunities and contribute innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Pursuing a Civil Engineering Degree with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Expected Graduation: 2026 (final-year students).
• GPA: Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) to be considered.
• Start Date: Rolling window from March to May 2025.
• Duration: 12 months from start date.
• Flexible Work Arrangements: Customized schedules to accommodate academic commitments.
• Eligibility: As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
