Part of the wider Alpha FMC Group, Alpha Alternatives (formerly Lionpoint Group) was founded in 2014 and focuses on strategy, technology and operations consulting services to alternative investment managers, investors and advisors. Our services include strategic advisory, operations transformation, system selection & implementation, data & analytics, project management and managed services.
What will you be doing?
- Developing technological solutions to client problems, contributing to high-quality project delivery and building your experience.
- Gaining sector experience while being supported by Alpha Alternatives’ experts across the alternative investment industry
- Contributing to a team delivering a strategic transformation, a new technology implementation, or a critical platform extension to an existing platform.
- Participating in projects ranging from a few weeks to multi-year programs, consistently applying Alpha Alternatives' deep expertise in strategy and execution.
- Helping to coordinate transformation projects for leading global alternative investment management clients
We have two teams that Graduates can join - this will depend on your background/skillset/interest, and we will work with you throughout your application to understand your preferences:
- Data and platform engineering team - these graduates will be assisting in the development of custom integrations, implementing market-leading data platforms, and complex analytics use-cases, with a strong focus on following (and continuously improving) DevOps protocols.
- Application development team - these graduates will be dedicated to designing, developing, and maintaining custom, enterprise-supporting applications for our client-base, leveraging low-code platforms and traditional programming languages.

What we’re looking for:
- Predicted or achieved a 2:1 or above in any of the following subjects from any university: Computer Science, Computing and Management, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Be highly ambitious, proactive and entrepreneurial with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Have strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset
- Outgoing, strong communicator and a team player
- Passion for technology
- Have a genuine interest in consulting and the private markets industry
