What You'll Do
- Design High-Fidelity UI: Create polished, developer-ready designs, including prototypes, final assets, and interaction details, that meet both business goals and user needs.
- Refine Usability Patterns: Optimise usability by iterating on existing designs based on feedback and user insights.
- Implement and Expand the Design System: Maintain and enhance our design system, ensuring components are consistent, scalable, and aligned across Figma and our React front-end library.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product designers, front-end developers, and product owners to ensure seamless delivery of designs from concept to implementation.
- Ensure Accessibility: Incorporate accessibility standards into designs to create inclusive experiences for all users.
- Participate in Design Critiques: Share your work with the team, gather feedback, and provide constructive input on designs from others.
- Support Design Delivery: Assist product designers in the final stages of projects, ensuring visual polish, alignment with the design system, and readiness for development.
What We're Looking ForDesign Expertise
- Strong visual design skills with a focus on UI design, layout, and interaction design principles.
- A portfolio showcasing impactful, user-focused design work for web and mobile.
Technical Proficiency
- Mastery in Figma.
- Experience with design systems, including design tokens and component-based design.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and mobile-first design principles.
Collaboration Skills
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, including developers and product owners.
- Confident in presenting work and articulating design decisions clearly and persuasively.
Growth and Adaptability
- A mindset of continuous improvement, with a willingness to seek feedback and expand your skill set.
- Proactive in exploring new tools, techniques, and approaches to problem-solving.
Experience
- 4+ years in a UI design role
- Experience in design systems and mobile-first design
