What you'll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology Team, within Regulatory Reporting, the UAT Test Lead is a seasoned expert responsible for overseeing the day-to-day testing activities of complex projects of a tactical nature, ensuring testing control procedures and policies are adhered as per technology’s project performance standards. The role works with minimal direction, applying deep knowledge in their field of expertise to manage the delivery best practices and processes including stakeholder management, project planning, and testing activities. The UAT Test Lead uses significant latitude in determining objectives and leads employees in the development of analytical approaches, while establishing and maintaining client, senior management, and cross functional relationships.

How you'll succeed

  • Testing expertise – Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end UAT testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
  • Collaboration – Help internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services. Coach and mentor, your teams as you work toward a common goal. Negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
  • Project Coordination – Proactively identify risks to the Testing E2E / UAT schedule and find ways to mitigate them. Monitor milestones; ensure they are completed according to timelines and budgets. Execute a UAT/E2E Test Strategy / plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk.

 

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate at least 3 years of working experience within the Capital Markets supporting Regulatory Reporting, Trades analysis/reporting. You have managed cross-portfolio projects in a matrix environment. You have experience with waterfall and agile methodologies and knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC). You have at least 4 years of Manual Testing experience, along with issue management tools like JIRA/Confluence and hands on experience with Azure DevOps.
  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.
