As a Treasury Analytics Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will focus on generating and synthesizing insights to influence the Consumer and Community Banking's balance sheet strategy. A key aspect of the team's work is measurement and analysis of interest rate risk (IRR), liquidity, capital, and balance sheet costs associated with assets of over $600B and liabilities of over $1T. We partner with teams throughout the Firm, including Corporate Treasury, Finance, Risk, Capital Markets, and Chase lines of business (LOBs).
Job Responsibilities

  • Support the efforts to improve JPM's best-in-class asset-liability management partnering with disparate cross-functional teams
  • Leverage detailed knowledge of banking products and balance sheet components to distill insights from Earnings, Transcripts, 10Qs of peer banks
  • Work with varied information sources (e.g., internal systems, external reports) while working to deeply understand treasury concepts
  • Maintain organized data while improving quality, and generate both qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Effectively communicate the story based on the numbers; synthesize insights into recommendations with minimal guidance from the manager
  • Continually improve processes, reduce errors, enhance quality by leveraging effective controls and automation tools like Alteryx


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

  • Minimum 6 years of full-time work experience, ideally in finance or strategy
  • Analytically focused undergraduate or graduate degree (e.g., finance, economics, mathematics, engineering) or other demonstrated quantitative and analytical ability
  • Relevant knowledge in at least one of the team's key content areas (e.g., capital, liquidity, interest rate risk management, corporate finance, loan pricing, deposit pricing, or planning & analysis)
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to pick up complex concepts quickly, analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Aptitude to read, comprehend, and synthesize insights on industry and competitive landscape using a variety of sources like earning disclosures, thought pieces, etc.
  • Working knowledge of retail banking and products


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

  • The ideal candidates will be self-motivated, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have passion and intellectual curiosity to find and capture business value
  • MBA and/or progress towards CFA, CPA, FRM, or other financial certification
  • Familiarity with Essbase, Tableau, Alteryx, or a scripted language (e.g., Python)
