The Position
The T&E Compliance Intern role is responsible for working with Roche employees all over the EMEA region in order to perform the Travel & Expense activities.
Everyday tasks are covering: claim processing, T&E compliance related ticket handling, checking all expense claims to be part of the payment against the local T&E policies and taking care of the financial posting fails.
Working with precision and quality in order to ensure the reliability of financial reports of Roche affiliates.
Follow the instructions of the Team Lead regarding the daily work coordination.
Responsibilities
Service Delivery

Responsible for assessing compliance of employee expense claims in a timely and accurate manner, against the Company’s Policies, Procedures and External regulatory requirements

Verify T&E expense claims from VAT point of view

Handle data integration between SAP Concur and relevant ERP system

Clearly document all compliance assessment (i.e assessment results) activities in SAP Concur during claim processing

Escalate issues and recommend resolution plans in a timely manner to the RSS line manager and affiliate (where required)

Actively and thoroughly work on avoiding potential financial fraud to appear in the company through T&E claims

Creation and maintenance of internal process documentation to address updates to the compliance monitoring process
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaboration with other T&E related teams within the RSS to support the End to end processes (Eg.: GCX, Country Chief Accountant, Master Data, Demand to Pay, Record to Report)

Collaboration with the Roche affiliates in order to maintain an up to date T&E compliance processes in alignment with the local regulations.

Collaboration with the T&E 2nd level support team in order eliminate appearing technical issues or to implement new solutions in SAP Concur.
