Waste Connections is looking for a General Labourer to join our team at our Winnipeg District to work at our Transfer station in Winnipeg, MB. This is an entry level full time position with a reputable company.
Location: Selkirk Waste Transfer Station, Whiskey Ditch Rd, Gimli, MB R1A 0Z6
Pay rate: $17.00 per hour
Hours: Summer Hours- 9 am to 6 pm, Wednesday and Sunday off
Winter Hours- 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday and Sunday off
Responsibilities Include:
- Directing traffic onsite
- Guiding the general public and offering direction
- Keeping the area clean
- Some sorting of materials
- verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material
- Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of general labour work experience
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
- Be able to pass our background checks (Drug and Criminal check)
