The Role:
As part of the Language Service Department, you play a central role in the business and are pivotal to the smooth running of projects for account(s) assigned to you. You will need excellent linguistic skills, attention to detail, a thorough understanding of the Translation/Transcreation/Localisation process and be responsible for managing projects from brief to final delivery in collaboration with other departments. You will be client focused and require good communication, organisation and time management skills to manage your clients and internal departments, while always focusing on quality, process and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage translation/transcreation projects to ensure consistent delivery against all contractual obligations include SLAs and KPIs
- Coordinate between all relevant parties - internal production teams and external clients/ agencies
- Manage the assigned accounts and develop thorough understanding of the brands and offerings
- Build strong relationships with clients and agency stakeholders; set and manage client expectations.
- Take responsibility for ongoing communication with project managers/producers; keep tracking project progress and ensure relevant trackers are always up to date
- Ensure full compliance with company’s financial procedures and policies
- Escalate issues to line manager, and recommend solutions wherever possible
- Review freelancers’ performance and drive constant performance improvement by working closely with talent management team
- Identify areas for improvement of existing workflows and processes which could benefit the company and/or the client
- Update and maintain glossaries, translation memories, account guidelines and QC checklists
- Manage internal admin.; provide detailed handover for coverage during the absence
- Support and coach new starters and/or junior team members
- Prepare and present documents, presentations and reports that are tailored to each assigned account.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ hands-on experience in project management for transcreation, translation and/or localization; working experience in advertising/marketing agency is a plus
- Experience of budgeting and forecasting
- Sound knowledge of CAT tools and TMS
- Can do attitude and an ability to work under pressure, highly organized, detail oriented, client focused and proactive
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, prioritization skills, team player
- Fluent oral and written English plus additional language(s)
